Ready in October 2012, A&M has completed the building of a structure of over 1000 square

metres in Gallarate, which with its two large studios, with its six recording booths and its offices for

graphics, video and web, it will be the biggest structure of its kind in Italy and one of the biggest

and prestigious in the world.

Nothing was left to chance. The studios project has been created by a superlative team, guided

by Josif Vezzoli from JVC Acoustics and the location area of the building could not be any

better: Lake Maggiore and Lake of Varese are situated only 20 minutes away and are perfect

places to enjoy relaxing moments immerse in nature or to taste typical local food; Milan is only

15 minutes away and reachable from the train station (only 7 minutes walking distance from

headquarter), by car or bus; Malpensa Airport is practically “a few steps away”. Also with the

construction of the Pedelombarda motorway ready in less than a year time the area will be

connected to Bergamo in less than 50 minutes.

Also from October 2012, in collaboration with some of the most prestigious brands (such as

Apple Educational, Steinberg Educational e RockSchool) and with the most important

universities and colleges in the UK, A&M will open a new academy for Artists, Producers and DJs,

which will be the only professional school in Italy releasing European legally recognized diplomas

and rewarding the best students with record contracts and with their own record/album

productions.

In conjunction with the opening of the structure we have organised an event of a national and
international calibre: 

Friday 12th October, at the new head quarter in Gallarate, 

Via Degli Orsinin.2, from 18.00 to 23.00 

(18.00-19:00 press conference - 19.00-23.00 guests opening ).

The Launch Party will be hosted by European artists and whom will perform live. Names such as
Karlos Sense and Igor Marijuàn (Ibiza Sonica Radio), Mauro Miclini (Radio Deejay), Stefano Pain
(one of the most respected dance producers in Italy), Kimberly Covington (Official voice for
Micheal Bublè, BB King, Gloria Gaynor), Mimi Blix (the hottest Norwegian model), Marco Evans
(Io Canto, Domenica 5, X Factor, Scherzi a Parte official voice), Kristian Vivo (MTV One Night
Tour) and Pietro Nobile (directly from Montreaux Jazz Festival) are only some of the talented
musicians, vocalists and Djs that will support this initiative performing live.

El cierre de Circoloco en DC10 es uno de los cierres mas famosos y potentes a nivel de Line-up y este año vuelve con un cartel absolutamente espectacular...No estaremos restransmitiendo pero queríamos compartir el evento con vosotros. ¿Por qué? Por que es donde vamos a ir a bailar!

El pasado 15 de Septiembre Ibiza Sonica fue galardonada con el Best International Radio On Air Award que otorga el International Radio Festival.

de Zurich, el certamen anual de la industria de la radio. El festival suizo, que tiene como claim “Listen how the world sounds” , congrega año tras año a radios de todo el mundo que reflexionan y debaten sobre el presente y el futuro de la radio.

Este premio a la Mejor Radio Internacional es el colofón final a la temporada 2011/2012 y es un reconocimiento según el propio festival por “romper los estándares de la radio y crear nuevas fórmulas y formatos de retransmisión”. Durante estos Ibiza Sonica ha emitido desde grandes clubs (Amnesia, Space, Pacha, Privilege, GOA…) desde festivales (ADE, International Music  Summit, SONAR…) y desde lugares muy especiales: rúas en movimiento, barcos a vela, playas en México, selvas en Brasil, clubs en China, exposiciones de arte o desde la cocina de Carl Cox.

Todo comenzó en 2006 cuando Igor Marijúan, Miguel Valverde y Andy Wilson crearon Ibiza Sónica con la intención de llevar un pedazo de Ibiza al mundo mediante la música y a través de Internet . De lo local a lo global, durante estos años la emisora ha crecido exponencialmente llegando a más de 6 millones de oyentes mensuales y se ha ganado el respeto de artistas y dj´s de todo el mundo. On  September 15th Ibiza Sonica was awarded the Best International Radio On Air Award by the International Radio Festival in Zurich, the annual gathering of the radio industry. The Swiss festival, with the slogan  “Listen to how the world sounds” , offers radio professionals from all over the world a platform to network and debate the  present and future of radio.

The Best International Radio award marks the culmination of the 2011/2012 season and is a recognition by the festival  of  Sonica’s mission to “raise the standards of radio and create new styles and formats of broadcasting”. Ibiza Sonica has broadcast from the great clubs  (Amnesia, Space, Pacha, Privilege, GOA…) from festivals (ADE, International Music  Summit, SONAR…) and from many special locations: sailing boats, beaches in México, jungles in  Brasil, clubs in China, art exhibitions, street processions or Carl Cox’s kitchen.

It all began in 2006 when Igor Marijúan , Miguel Valverde and Andy Wilson created Ibiza Sónica with the idea of bringing a piece of Ibiza to the world through music and the Internet . ABOUT IRF

For starters the Festival’s format is a world first.  Never before has there been an annual meeting place to celebrate the world’s most consumed medium, music radio. This has made the IRF the annual hub where the music radio industry meets and showcases the best music show formats; to their peers, a studio audience, and live on-air to local and global listeners. and it takes place in Zurich, a beautiful, vibrant, yet tranquil city full of surprises.

Since its inaugural year, the IRF has brought together more than 100 ground-breaking music radio shows from around the world, enabling their makers the exceptional opportunity to showcase their best music radio programmes in the presence of their peers and industry professionals, as well as “live On-Air” to the general public visiting the Festival, to their listeners back home, and online around the world, offering those tuned-in the rare opportunity to “Listen to how the World Sounds”.

This year 28 international radio stations will showcase their music radio programmes live on-air on FM over the city of Zurich on 104.1 & 96.9, on Cablecom across all of Switzerland, and online around the world; plus many radio stations will also broadcast their show live back to their home audiences.

THE GOAL OF IRF

So our goal is simple: to celebrate the world’s most consumed medium: Music Radio, and offer those passionate about music radio the rare opportunity to “Listen to how the World Sounds”, on one single channel.
The Festival aims to bring together likeminded music radio pioneers to share their passion, let them network with each other, knowledge share and trade their formats and ideas, and so help continue enriching the listening experience for all audiences around the world.

B2B CONFERENCES

The IRF is unique too in that it is both a B2B conference and a B2C event at the same time. Like minded music radio professionals from around the world attend the IRF to network and share knowledge at the B2B forum panels and key notes, and showcase their music radio programmes to their peers.

Music radio remains the universally single largest “distributor” and communicator of music, and music related lifestyles, today, and the Festival’s B2B Forum format is already playing a pro-active  part in supporting the growing renaissance of music radio across the world today.
The IRF offers leading lights from the music and music radio industry a platform to share their knowledge and views on the future of music radio with other like-minded industry professionals.

LOCATION

The third edition of the InternationalRadio Festival (IRF) takes place at the magnificent private residence Schloss Sihlberg, in the middle of Zurich from Wednesday12th to Sunday 16th September 2012.

The Festival HQ is located in Zurich’s only private castle residence, Schloss Sihlberg www.ssz.ch, majestically perched on a hill overlooking the city of Zurich.  There our radio guests will find a relaxed open studio environment, set-up in one of the grand rooms of this beautiful residence.

And to close off the day’s programming, from 10pm onwards the Festival moves to the famous Cabaret Club www.cabaret.im in Zurich’s industrial quarter, where more up-tempo radio formats are broadcast to a more clubbing orientated audience.

SONAR SAO PAULO / 11 & 12 de Mayo de 2012

Hoy empieza Sónar São Paulo 2012, que presentará más de 50 actuaciones en el Parque Anhembi de la ciudad brasileña: Será la cita de mayores dimensiones que Sónar tendrá fuera de España hasta SONAR Barcelona (14, 15 & 16 de junio) que incluirá la actuación especial de Igor Marijuan, Dj residente y fundador de nuestra casa, el dia 15 en SONAR Pub...

El festival se compone de tres escenarios con diferentes aforos, ubicados el Parque Anhembi: SonarClub (el escenario principal, donde tendrán lugar los shows de gran formato), SonarVillage (semicubierto y con césped artificial, escenario de –entre otros- los artistas que forman parte de la programación comisariada por Red Bull Music Academy), y SonarHall (el auditorio cubierto que da cabida a las propuestas de carácter más experimental). A estos tres escenarios hay que sumarles las áreas dedicadas a SonarPro, incluyendo la sala de proyecciones de SonarCinema.

La programación de Sónar São Paulo incluye el nuevo show en 3 dimensiones de Kraftwerk, uno de los grupos más influyentes de la historia de la música. El grupo alemán llega a Sónar São Paulo tras haber agotado todas las entradas de sus ocho actuaciones en el MoMA de Nueva York. 

Además del nuevo show de Kraftwerk, Sónar São Paulo presenta a destacados nombres de la música internacional de nuestro tiempo, como James Blake, Chromeo, Mogwai, Justice, Squarepusher, Modeselektor, Flying Lotus, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Four Tet, Cee Lo Green, Jeff Mills, Little Dragon o DOOM, por nombrar sólo a algunos.

 

 

Además, el festival presta especial atención a la estimulante y dinámica escena creativa de Brasil, un país con una impresionante tradición musical del que siguen surgiendo artistas de primer nivel, muchos de los cuales están presentes en Sónar São Paulo: Gui Boratto, Ricardo Donoso, Gang Do Eletro, M Takara Vs. Akin, Bruno Belluomini, Nedu Lopes, Psilosamples, Pazes, Emicida, Dago… 

Por su parte, Red Bull Music Academy, la escuela de talento musical itinerante que realizará su 15º edición en Nueva York este próximo septiembre, se encarga de comisariar parte del escenario SonarVillage, compuesto por ex-alumnos y artistas que han colaborado con la Academy, como Flying Lotus, DOOM, James Pants, Cut Chemist, Rustie, James Holden, Tiger & Woods, DJ Zegon & Sonidos Unidos Sound System, Pazes y Mauricio Fleury. 

Además de la programación musical, el festival presenta SonarPro São Paulo, el punto de encuentro para profesionales de la industria musical y las empresas creativas asociadas a la creatividad y la tecnología, con una importante presencia de artistas, creadores y profesionales de Brasil y Cataluña.

El área profesional de Sónar São Paulo servirá además de trampolín a las industrias creativas y culturales de Cataluña. El Departamento de Cultura de la Generalitat de Cataluña, a través del ICEC (Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals), ha firmado un acuerdo con Sónar con el fin de que el festival brasileño de Sónar sea una plataforma de promoción para ideas y proyectos de empresas y emprendedores catalanes del ámbito tecnológico y cultural.

SonarPro São Paulo cuenta con una programación propia en la que destacan los canadienses Eski (especialistas en la tecnología aplicada para grandes shows), el brasileño Muti Randolph (cuyos trabajos se sitúan entre el diseño tecnológico y los espacios arquitectónicos) y los catalanes Conductr (creadores de aplicaciones de audio para telefonía móvil), Jocabola
(generadores de sistemas y visualización de datos) y Reactable Systems (inventores de la popular mesa-instrumento interactiva Reactable), entre otros.
