This next Wednesday 7th of August at Sands there will be a really special party, a very exclusive event with an impressive line up: Mood Records showcase with the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Anja Schneider, Carlo Lio, Alan Fitzpatrick, Nathan Barato, Tom Peters, Just Be and of course the label head honcho Nicole Moudaber. 

After having Seth Troxler , Eats Everything, Skream and Ben Pearce playing “b2b2b2b” or celebrate Coxy´s birthday party with Igor Marijuan, Just B, Pete Tong and Carl Cox now Sands hosts another amazing line up and Absolut Vodka brings you again this live broadcasting (you already could listen Coxy´s Bday Party in a live sponsored by Absolut). CARL COX Funk, Soul & House Session / Friday September 23th 14H00-23H00 at SANDS

After revolutionized the Space during all the summer on Tuesdays, and 3 days after the Carl Cox Revolution Closing Party on september 20th, The Master Carl will be in SANDS Beach club (Playa D’em Bossa) this friday for a Funk, Soul & House All Afternoon Session from 14H00 to 23H00.

Asked by Essential Ibiza Blog about his sessions in SANDS, kind of music very different of that he use to play here, in Ibiza, he just seems amused :

“I really wanted to be able to find a place to play that kind of music so I bought the company! (Laughs) I just love the fact that for once people can see what I can do on the other side of the coin and with that I have had some of the best times playing. Six hours minimum playing all this music with some classic house thrown in and it’s a really good, fun time. It’s completely different to anything else that’s going on on this island and it freaks people out. They come down and I’m playing Gwen Guthrie “Ain’t Nothing Going On But The Rent” and they haven’t heard this record let alone me playing it and they don’t get it and what’s really nice about it is that it’s cool that they don’t get it. That’s where I came from, that is the school of the music that got me where I am today and I still want people to know that. People that are actually my age group appreciate that I’ve thought about dong this but it’s a great day and something for everyone to look forward to and it works really well, when I’m playing I’ve got this great big smile on my face, dropping all these records and you can see people feeling it and that’s why I do this.”

Carl Cox en directo desde Sands [VIDEO STREAMING]

IBIZA SONICA retransmite hoy 9 de septiembre en directo; audio y video; la sesión de CARL COX desde SANDS Beach club. Playa de´n Bossa, Ibiza.

Es el segundo año consecutivo que Carl Cox ofrece esta sesión personal y exclusiva dedicada al sonido Funk, Soul & Disco. El año pasado alcanzamos cotas de audiencia altísimas en la retransmisión y pudimos contar anécdotas muy curiosas como el hecho de que algunos pubs de Candem Town (Londres) sintonizaran en directo para toda la calle, poniendo a la gente a bailar.

La retransmisión en audio de la sesión de Carl Cox será de 16:00 a 19:00 y de 20:00 a 22:00 y la música irá acompañada de los comentarios de Igor Marijuan, Andy Wilson, Emma B y Tony Legend. Se podrá seguir el audio en directo a través de la radio en Ibiza 95.2 fm, en http://www.ibizasonica.com/, en iTunes Radio y la sesión en VIDEO streaming será de 17:00 a 20:00 en el Facebook de Ibiza Sonica y el de Carl Cox.

IBIZA SONICA ofreció ayer una reciente entrevista de Andy Wilson en la que, además de hablar de sus próximos proyectos -como la edición de su nuevo disco en Marzo de 2011-, Carl nos mete en ganas de fiesta bajo el sol: será un recorrido por la música que él mismo ha escuchado, disfrutado, bailado, la que lleva en su iPod … desde James Brown y Wilson Picket hasta hoy, por sus 30 años de carrera, por su colección privada. De lujo.

DJ profesional desde los quince años de edad, veterano del acid house y un campeón del techno, primer “number one DJ in the World” en la revista DJ Magazine's Top 100… Carl Cox celebra 9 años en Ibiza con una sesión muy personal. Considerado uno de los fundadores del sonido rave, ya en el Londres de 1988 (“The Summer of Love) “revolucionó” la mitificada Sunrise Rave al utilizar por primera vez 3 platos y enloquecer con ellos a los 15000 chavales que acudieron. Como él mismo cuenta en su autobiografía, desde ese momento su teléfono no ha dejado de llamar para contratar a 'The 3 Deck Wizard'.

Resaca de emociones, dolor de piernas de tanto bailar y buen humor. Así nos hemos despertado hoy, con una sonrisa en la boca cada vez que nos encontramos con los que ayer estuvieron en Sands disfrutando de la maravillosa sesión de Carl Cox a la que siguieron otros dj,s como Gianlucca de Tiberis e Igor Marijuán y Cris 44 back to back.

Carl Cox Special Set from Sands - LIVE BROADCAST

This Thursday for the first time in Ibiza Carl Cox is playing a special set of funk, soul and jazz on the beach at Sands in Playa D’en Bossa.

After the success of the Carl Cox Kitchen Sessions radio show on Sonica last year, and inspired by the Stillwater Sessions where Carl plays in Australia , Carl has been looking for a suitable venue to put on an exclusive chilled event, where he can Dj the music that he loves that he can’t play in his famous club sets .

The lovely Sands Beach Club, www.sandsibiza.com on the beach at Playa D’en Bossa has been chosen due to it’s great location and fantastic staff, and Sonica will be there to broadcast live between 1500-1800.
